With over a decade of professional experience providing direct services to trauma survivors, Jazmyn Brown is able to relate to the populations she's serves in a unique way through her own personal experience. She is currently the Family Case Manager and Housing Specialist for The East Oakland Community project where she works with homeless families to address barriers to housing and place them as quickly as possible into their own homes. In addition to providing statewide trainings to law enforcement and social services agencies on effective client engagement practices, Jazmyn continues to provide direct services to homeless and at-risk youth and adults through a number of different organizations throughout the bay area and California. By creating and maintaining nurturing and authentic relationships, Jazmyn continues to support survivors in healing from the trauma of enduring homelessness, system involvement, poverty and sexual exploitation.
